yeh ghubaar
aaya kahaan say
jaíaye ga kahaan?

yeh ghubaar
rah ka, nigah ka

zindagi kya hay
darmian ghubaar kay
ik jehíd e safír

as the fog floats away
for moments few or
three score and ten
we feel and act on top

with fickle memory
we forget the hurts,
mis-steps and losses

till the fog settles
on dust and ashes
