for some
gloom is a muddy pond
filled with bitter un-fond
memories
...........of what went wrong
of what could not be righted
and mired in the mud
they unlearn to escape
for others
dawn, rose, walk
smile, sunset, hug
an effervescent cocktail
of euphoria pushing
unlit clouds far and away
gloom is uninvited
and unwelcome
