Om Mani Padme Hum *

at eleuthera's lighthouse beach
twirling around my bare feet
the waves from the atlantic
and the caribbean sea
that have travelled
unhampered miles
to embrace the pink sand
with their foam, froth and fret
and the crisis of their history       
touch the shores barely
only to move on

AllahHooAllahHooAllahHoo

waves could part lessons
stuck forever in timelines
these waves encountered
nets, debris, boats, breakwaters
clouds that float to peaks
snow, streams and rivers 
and back to the ocean
but their love and resolve
remains unfulfilled
