Burying Doctrine of Necessity - Justice or Vendetta?

In Special court needed under law for Musharraf’s trial Tariq Butt speculates about a vendetta disguised as a trial for treason for Pervez Musharraf.

If the goal is a vendetta, as has been the precedent in Pakistan politics, then this trial would serve no purpose.

If the goal is to bury the SC Justice Munir's "doctrine of necessity" once and for all then in all fairness all past usurpers from Ghulam Mohammed on to Pervez Musharraf should be tried. [Ghulam Mohammed, Iskander Mirza, Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, Bhutto Sr. and Pervez Musharraf.]

[An while we are on a binge why not a trial for massive corruption and abuses of power for Benazir/Zardari and Nawaz/Shehbaz?]

PS: All this attention on Pervez Musharraf by the talking heads in the media led by Hamid Mir is a deflection from the pestering and pressing issues affecting what Hamid calls "common Pakistanis."

The common Pakistanis do not have the protection of law and order, do not have water and basic amenities, do not have jobs or access to health and education, inflation is killing them.

Instead of addressing these issues, those in power are colluding to deflect the attention to Pervez Musharraf.
