Fatwa Season

You must have read the "unnamed" fatwa by "12 top scholars, who fatwa-ed against theft of electricity. here and here.

First a disclaimer: I do not know these modern day "Abu Hurairas" and I wish them luck.

Some days back a bigger number of "ulemas" in Pindi or Islamabad "declared" suicide bombers as haraam.

Am waiting for other learned "ulemas" to come forward and render "fatwas" on those who have taken millions and billions in bribes and illegal graft - some of whom occupy (illegally) high positions in the party and in the government too.

And since this appears to be a season of fatwas, why not have some fatwas on rape, incest, and murder too?

And finally, let Iftikhar Chaudhary take suo moto notice of these fatwas, like his brethren did in Bangla Desh many years ago.
