Qatar: Qaddafi Mellowing?

What at first appeared to be a tirade by the Libyan leader, Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, against King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at the Arab summit meeting in Doha, Qatar, turned out to be an effort to end a six-year feud. After denouncing Saudi Arabia as “a British creation with American protection,” Colonel Qaddafi said that the dispute was ended and that he was prepared to exchange visits.
