Ejaz Haider: Aporia is so Dichotomous!
Damned be aporia, though. No answers here outside of things with given specs. But I chide myself. Hope should never be dashed, regardless of aporia and history. Faith should never be challenged, even when one knows better. Never force a philosopher into a straight line; never plunge the soldier into doubt.
In which case, the officers were right to insist on neat answers; the philosopher must have his meanderings even if they mean nothing and the crowd at Grant Park can legitimately cherish its hope for that moment because as a friend put it so aptly the other day, “the time of a relationship [hope] is eternity and the next second, [and] between eternity and the next second, where do you go”.
