Hamid Mir is a journalist in the same tradition of partisanship as you see on Fox News. There's an interesting description by Paul Krugman of how journalists cover the news. Here it is:
If Bush were to declare that the earth is flat, then Fox will report, "Of course, the earth is flat. And anyone who disagrees is a traitor". CNN, on the other hand, would report "Views differ on shape of the earth."
