Rs600 million war chest F.P. Report

LAHORE: Former Chief Minister Punjab was losing patience with officials who he feels were not ‘supporting’ PML (Q) candidates in the run up to the elections. This was in spite the fact that the PML (Q) had set aside an astronomical figure of Rs. 600 million for advertising and the print media along with T.V. channels who were enjoying windfall profits even at the expense of severe criticism from the people of this country. Some of these advertisements have left a bad taste in the mouth prompting a docile and inept Election Commission of Pakistan whispering a protest in the ears of PML(Q) leadership. Highly placed official sources informed the Frontier Post that the younger Chaudhry summoned the Nazim, DCO and the DPO Lahore to admonish them for their failure to boost up the prospects of at least three PML (Q) candidates for the national assembly from Lahore.
